Pixeleen IM'd me inworld to brag that he was going to be "first" with the story of Robin Linden leaving the Lab, "Oh hai Prok. Robin is out." Anyone who goes around using the IRC 4 chan sort of slang like "hai" lets you know their attitude toward griefers *cough*.
It was unpleasant finding out about Robin's departure from Pixeleen, of all people, not that it came as a surprise. Pixeleen wanted to be first to bang on me with this, because he knew that I genuinely liked Robin, and he was therefore always ready with a gratuitous dig on the Herald describing Robin as "my special friend" blah blah implying this was some kind of exception to my own critique of the FIC. I don't think I've ever gotten any special favours from Robin Linden, who permabanned me and regularly reprimanded me in her office hours, but if you can find any, please document them.
Not surprisingly, after my very concerted blast at the Herald, Pixeleen couldn't resist telling the story of Robin's departure in terms of Robin's need to reduce exposure to the more colourful denizens of SL like "the mullah of Ravensglass" -- as the Herald had it on the first iteration of the post. That was me. I was called a "mullah" because of my alleged wish to "curb free expression". There's nothing of the kind. I think it's appropriate to call for the FBI to talk to the Herald about what it knows about griefers who destroy Second Life. The Herald pre-filters and moderates comments -- I don't (what you see now is a glitch they are fixing at Typepad, not my call). The Herald -- Pixeleen, really -- constantly deletes anything critical I say about him on the comments.
So now, somebody -- Uri, with his elision scythe? -- Pixeleen, in a more sober moment? -- has cut out that remark about the "mullah of Ravensglass [sic]" today.
It was also nice to see Uri say something nice for once about a Linden (which can happen as a by-product of him needing to reprimand his minions):
