Crap has some enormously long rant in reaction to me calling him on his bullshit again which you can read here, if you have more patience than me. I usually have patience for very long posts, but I had to give up on that one.
It was the usual pious nerdy geek story about how in a schoolyard, he was bothered by some other nerdy geek who was picking on him, so he nobly ignored it and kept taking the punches and intimating to the guy that it was himself that was the problem.
So, it's helpful to remember what this is about again:
o Crap, a former friend, decided to take a dislike to me and start writing enormous amounts of crap -- and even lies -- about me -- it was very bizarre.
o This happened because...why? I said in a Tweet that it was like "Uncanny Valley" in reverse when his usual robot look in fact became more human. Normally that would be a joke and a ribbing that someone would "get". In his case, possibly because he's cranky and touchy from being on a diet, it wasn't funny, and he went on to a long-term jag to dis me whenever possible.
o During his jag so far he's accused me of being a only greedily interested in traffic and ad revenue which is retarded given there isn't any to speak of, accused me of all kinds of things that are easy to refute. Why? Out of the sort of vicious spleen that seizes him on a variety of topics now and then.
o He's been on a Grace O'clock fanboyz kick on various topics lately, and then hilariously accusing others of being fanboyz.
o Did I mention that he is cranky and on a diet? I find this is getting to be a bore. It's in the feed at planet.worldofsl.com so I have to see it, but I find myself skipping it more and more
o I never used to be irritated by the idea of 100 word stories; now I find them actively stupid and cultureless and part of the insane amateur-hour that the user-generated culture brings us. I may go read some Henry James as an antidote!
o Somehow Crap and his geeky little fellow Plurkers think it's somehow a big "win" if I bitch about him and then link to them and then GASP he gets more traffic GASP as if I somehow didn't realize that ROFL. who cares? I'm counting on the intelligent reader to figure it out.
o I used to enjoy reading Crap's amateur but still pretty competent stuff, looking at his pictures, captions, podcasts and occasionally reading the stories (although they bored me more quickly than the other stuff). I like the idea of someone giving a running narrative of their Second Life, with their props and scripts and stuff. It's all good. He is a good executioner of that sort of amateur casual style, with very good screenshots and all. But...it's starting to pale as it gets more and more obsessed with his RL diet, putting up his shadow avatar as some kind of metaphor of that, etc. etc.
I'm beginning to wish Crap would just go have a cheese burger with everything on it and a side of fried onion rings, with a chocolate milkshake, and become his previous funny self again.
But, I wouldn't want to wish a heart attack on anyone, health kicks are basically a good thing, it's just the endless "sharing" of them that gets to be a bore.

at least virtuality can "help" one of em.

You share nothing about yourself Prok. It must intimidate you to see that some people are willing to share their lives intimately.
And you have the choice to read or not read. You also have the choice to fill your blog with informative intelligent schtuff... instead of attempts at notoriety through being a bitter cynic.
Is this really who you are? A joyless creature post Woodbury? When I see you in action it becomes hard to have empathy... very hard.

Yes, I don't mind IBLs at all for even enemies. It's all part of the Internet ethods. I won't supply them for the Herald, however, that's the one exception.

Um, share nothing about myself? Huh? Why am I required to "share"? About what? It hardly intimidates me to read somebody's overshare about their diet -- I find it just an example of overshare -- and an example of some kind of psychic disturbance, as I've said before.
